I can see the add now
by morganb

Republican Party sponsored election ad.

Opening shot

Obama expresses his dismay over the hateful words of rev. White while White speaks in a corner screen.

Zoom in on corner screen while its perspective zooms out and there is Obama setting in the pews nodding in apparent agreement.

And that’s just based on what you can cut out of you tube today.

Some Favor

Hannitized Ditto-head Republicans aren't going to vote for the Democratic candidate. You shouldn't waste your time worrying about how to get their vote. If you think the Dems can win the presidency in this manner, then the superdelegates should just appoint Lieberman and get Zell Miller to be his running mate.

Figure out what it is that the Democratic candidate has to offer. Stand up for the candidate and laugh off the mudslinging.

The only way for the Democrats to win in November is to select a candidate from the Democratic wing of the party and get Democrats excited about going to the polls. Compromise is important for statesmanship and governance -- it doesn't mean squat for campaigns and elections.

This ad wouldn't appeal to the extremes of either side but this election will be won on the backs of moderate, independent and swing voters. This kind of ad becomes a liability to Obama because he has styled himself as the candidate of change and racial reconciliation and this kind of exposure will greatly affect his believability as a new breed. The question may become, based on his long association with Write, exactly what he might mean by racial healing.

I am a moderate Independent. Most Independents refuse to be associated with the Democrats or Republicans because they have no aspiration to hold elective office and they are too savvy to be bamboozled by either party.

Independents won't be swayed by these cheap political tricks. They are capable of thinking for themselves and they will make their decisions based on the merits of the candidates, not on the quality of the professional mudslingers hired by the candidates.

Yes, they will be swayed by these kinds of ads, I'm a moderate and I don't like what I saw. It simply leaves too many questions in people's minds. People in the middle, don't have to be convinced of anything, they only have to be swayed to pick the safer of the two candidates, which is exactly why mudslinging works. Everybody knows all politicians lie, so what does Obama really believe? Hopefully not what Rev. Wrong spews. But it's no secret that all presidents appoint their friends to positions so how do some of Obama's friends fit in to our government? An awful lot of ifs.

Moderates always decide the elections. There are too many people in the middle that can go either way for it to be any other way.

I do believe Obama will select officers based on merit instead of friendship. However, whomever he chooses will fit in just as well as everyone else. BTW of the three candidates Obama happens to have the least baggage, so if you are going to pick the safest candidate he should be your number one choice.
