As a mother of two grown daughters. I constantly struggled with what they had as “good” role models when they were growing up. When Miley Cyrus came on the scene, I was ecstatic! She has a list as long as my arm of attributes. She has great parents and a solid foundation and support system in place for her. I have watched a few of her TV shows, Hanna Montana and I was impressed with all of her amazing gifts and talents. What an amazing young lady with a huge following of other young ladies. Then Vanity Fair comes in. In a day in age when we hear about pedophiles living in our neighborhoods, someone made the call to take a, what I consider child pornography photo of a 15 year old child with what is left to our imagination, fully unclothed with a sheet covering her chest. What was Vanity Fair, Miley's parents and Disney thinking? Not only that, what about the photo of her laying across her father? Every pedophile’s dream come true. I think that Vanity Fair, Disney and Miley’s parents should be held accountable for publishing these photos. Each one of them had a interest in this publication. It is against the law to exploit underage children in this manner. So it begs the question, why did Miley have to apologize? It wasn’t Miley’s job to apologize. The apology needs to come from her parents, Vanity Fair and Disney! Miley isn't old enough to make these kinds of decisions. It was all of the adults!

I agree...I am a nurse and mother of two daughters and the Vanity Fair picture reminded me of child porn. We don't need to help the sick pedophiles of the world. What are the adults thinking.....they weren't.

Umm, let me get this straight.

At 15, Miley is too young to desire/ask for/ agree to a sexy photo shoot. Yet at 16, Jamie Spears is old enough to get herself pregnant.

Miley knew what she was doing. Her parents knew what they were doing. All were cashing a check and laughing their way to the bank.

If this bothers you, remember that you are a parent! Watching someone on TV is like inviting them into your home. If you don't like the people on it, turn the damn thing off.

And if your daughter is so pathetic that she looks to TV for her role models, blame yourself.

Someone has a dirty mind if you can't see a picture of a girl with her dad without thinking "child porn." I've never looked at child porn so I can't say if the photo of Miley resembled it, but I somehow doubt it. Whence this hysterical overreaction to a fifteen-year-old YOUNG WOMAN (not child) posing in a cute, risque photo?
