DEBATE OR LOSE THE NOMINATION
by Mattynr
Debate or Lose the Nomination

Lets get down to issues... lets get down to business.

Issues? Policies? Wants and wishes?

Tell me Obama's plans.... the nuts and bolts of how he is going to do......

Social Security, Boarder Control, Immigration problems, balance the budget, health care, research, grants, stem cell research, rebuilding the infrastructure, alternative energy, create jobs, homeland security, trade, taxes and his plan to end the War in Iraq, along with the treats from Iran.

These are questions Obama needs to talk about in a debate. He will not debate because he does not have a clue on what he will do, why there is a problem or how it got to be a problem.

THIS IS WHY WE AMERICANS NEED TO SEE THEM DEBATE

Obama draws all these crowds and he tells us all what is wrong and what we want.....

Well..??? Deliver??? Tell us how

Tell me Obama's plans.... the nuts and bolts of what is he is going to do......

He will not debate because he does not have a clue on what he will do, why there is a problem or how it got to be a problem.
Or, how he is going to pay for all of it.

We need to see them talk to us....... no more smoke, and glory dust.

It is time to come down to earth............ we need them to debate.

If he can't........ he can't........... and he can't , then he can't be our nomination to meet the challenges of John McCain........

This is an example of his inexperience.

Good God, man, they have already debated 21(!) times. Were you asleep the whole time?
Re: DEBATE OR LOSE THE NOMINATION

Hiding behind the 21 debate notions is not going to work. Before last week Wednesday there have only been two debates between the two of them and Obama declined two before that.
Clinton has never declined to meet face to face in from of Americans across this land.
Americans need to see the face of our next President.
Does he think it will be easier with McCain?
He clearly cannot take the pressure.
The Governor of North Carolina sent a formal letter requesting a debate and Obama declined.
Obama said.. "If I debate NC, then IN will want one too." Well, yes ... that would be great.
If he cannot debate........ then he is not the quality needed to be our nomination.
Debate or step down.

"Hiding behind" 21 previous debates?

You personally refuse to be satisfied until the ever-critical debate number 22 and you think that people should "step down" if they don't cave to your little Fray demands?

That's a joke, right?

@ Mattynr:

"This is an example of his inexperience."

No, this debate red herring is an example of Hillary Clinton's desperation. If you are as ignorant of the candidates' positions as you claim, then you just have to go to their campaign websites where you'll get more info than in any debate:

Just be patient another 10 days, my friend. After the IN and NC primaries the race for pledged delegates will be over. Then the only debates that will matter will be between Barack Obama and John McCain.

I like the way you silly Hillary loyalists like to pretend the nominaton is still in play. It isn't. For all of Bill's theatrics and the giant hissy fit they plan to throw at all their "friends" wehn they "betray" them for the good of the party, it's over.

Now, about your questions:

"Social Security, Boarder Control, Immigration problems, balance the budget, health care, research, grants, stem cell research, rebuilding the infrastructure, alternative energy, create jobs, homeland security, trade, taxes and his plan to end the War in Iraq, along with the treats from Iran."

Nice laundry list, and speaking of laundry, great job of separating your whites from the more brightly colored items (he he he). But seriously folks, both Obama and Clinton have long-since posted their plans for dealing with these Big Issues, and as long noted, the plans are much the same. THAT is why there hasn't been a big debate on the issues. It isn't that Obama's ducking anything, though that's been a big shouting point for her surrogates.

But really, where does all this posturing as the Woman who Gets results go for its justification? Shall we talk about that? Shall we talk about all the unpopular causes for which she's fought, the downtrodden for whom she has struggled, the practical value of all the hot air she's expended over the years?

And since screaming demands for a debate is the traditional approach of the LOSER as campaigns wind down, I take this as a Clinton concession that she's lost. Becasue if she still had a legit chance of winning, she'd be kicking in some of her OWN money for a change.

Lastly, I know it's just a typo your spell-checker didn't pick up, but I love the idea that Ira comes with TREATS. What are those treats? Is Hillary a BIG expert on Iranian desserts? Given that your entire post is a lie and a cheap shot, is it fair for me to reply that HRC has a big ass? Well, no. But it's fully in keeping with the quality of your work.

And what if Hillary is the nominee. - Just what if, since you already know Obama is going to win. Will you support the nominee. Will you support the Democratic party in the general election. or will you still keep up your divisive, emotional rhetoric. This is not a beauty contest. Serious issues are on the table. Your comments don't build they are the reason Rush and all the other Repub are planning the victory party and Mrs. McCain is picking out new colors for the White House. Debate - Don't Debate ---fine. But don't divide. Don't tear down. Grow UP!

Why would we have to go through another boring debate? We have heard, heard, and heard, their posistions. What is left to say? If there is ANYONE out there that hasn't heard these debates over and over again, they have to be living under a rock. Hillary wants free air time because she is out of money. Why should the Obama campaing give it to her?
Re: DEBATE OR LOSE THE NOMINATION

Hillary has promised everything that people want to hear and more. She cannot get all this done in her lifetime or yours. She is an old time politician like John McCain. Promise anything to these morons who will believe she can get all these things done. She insults the intelligence of all the unelitists. She even leads you to believe that the Obama family are elitists. Her 109 million should answer that to the people that are really listening. She promised health care in 1993. Here it is another century later and she is still talking about it ," promising again." We also don't need Billy Boy back in the White House running things. We all know that Hillary won't stand up to him. And yet she says she can run a country...okay...

Calling for more debates is the last whimper of the death-throes of the Hillary Clinton campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.

If you have maintained any doubt about her loss, this should confirm that her chances for victory have now dwindled away to nothing.

No, I'm not an "Obamamaniac" with a messiah fixation. If you have observed politics as long as I have, then you recognize this tactic as being equivalent to a hail-Mary pass into the end-zone in the final seconds of a lost football game.

It is pretty obvious Obama cannot hold his own in a debate, yes, during the race for the nomination Obama can refuse to debate at his own peril. Question to everyone is as a President, he would no longer have an option what does he do then send out the Vice President? The man has no substance, in a few years maybe?
Re: DEBATE OR LOSE THE NOMINATION
by SnglMm
There was a debate set up and BILLARY backed out. And now she wants to debate again?? Ummmm...nope. It's her craziness trying to control things. Plus the last debate, no issues were discussed.
Re: DEBATE OR LOSE THE NOMINATION
by pwoxby

Why should Barack Obama "debate" a cornered wolverine with nothing to lose? Hillary Clinton clearly wants to inflict a mortal wound. There isn't a level so low that she wouldn't stoop to it to try to damage Obama. This wouldn't be a debate in any meaningful sense of the word. It would just be a sorry spectacle.

I know it really doesn't help with the "Obamanuts" point of view - but all I can think of to say when he says "NO" to the ridiculous request for another debate is:

"Thank God"

and to pwoxby I say "Amen"

Sheesh! Wish I was more original!
