Obama as messiah
by onefreakinword
Chris Wilson: This is possibly the silliest article I've read yet about Obama. Yes, he should drop out-in fact,he's overdue-but not for the good of the Democratic Party. He needs to get out for the good of this country. He's a racist, a liar, a criminal, a friend and supporter of terrorists, an arrogant elitist and a fraud. He's weak and cowardly. He can't think on his feet when confronted face-to-face with issues concerning his character and his associations. The people he surrounds himself with are dangerous and have no business being anywhere near the office of the president. He's no messiah and he's unfit for any political office, let alone the highest in our country. Clinton needs to stay in this race for the sake of our country. If Clinton supporters end up having to vote for McCain to keep this monster out of office, then the Democratic Party deserves whatever it gets, since it has pandered in the basest, most cowardly way to this cult figure and his mindless, fanatical followers.

Wow, where the hell is this hatred coming from? By anyone's account, he's a measured, intelligent, even-tempered guy that has tried like hell not to take the bait at every turn. That someone can spew such garbage about a person he or she does not even know is unfathomable. But then, it's your America. So much for the politics of promise or optimism. If you want to live in a sewer, you have exactly the country you want.

Ouch. Don't hold back. I do agree with you, though, that he IS a cult figure & the degree of 'devotion' he has received among his odd group of supporters is a bit frightening, to rational observers.

the majority of rational observers have agreed (and voted) that he's a better fit for president... call me irrational if you want, but I like his policy, his judgement, and his character much better than that of Hillary. There are supporters of both Dem candidates that might be irrational...but let's keep unfounded generalizations out of this.

First of all, I think that the general content of your post is the "silliest article I've ever read about Obama." Instead of the typical Republican attacks on one's character, without the substance to back it up, I would like proof. Real proof. He WENT to a church which was overseen by a man who did over speak and say many things which are out of line, but that does not mean that all that are listening are in agreement. As far as your other acquisitions, where is the proof that he is a "criminal, friend and supporter of terrorists, arrogant elitist and a fraud." I love how the Republican Party has instilled a "scare tactic" in Americans to make them think that anyone who has a name from a different background or religion makes them a terrorist.

He offers something that no one can offer, and in the current state of this country we need help. We don't need the same corrupt government continuing to ruin all that exists over greed and arrogance. Although I am an Obama supporter, I wouldn't call him a messiah, and I am in no way part of a “cult”, but I definitely think he is the only candidate that can help save our country.

Maybe instead of taking time to attack you should do some research and find true proven facts to write about.

OK< at your request, you're irrational ! If you think this person has good judgment, then I bet you also think the Chinese have been fair to Tibet and Taiwan over the years, no? "Unfounded" generalizations? Hardly! The typical Obama voter / supporter on the Frays acts in an irrational, oddly overly devoted manner and often can not cite anything specific in his favor. Nor did you. (As for his character, you might want to investigate further, his links to A. Rezko of Chicago and Emil Jones of the Illinois Legislature.) We don't know anywhere near enough about this man to say he has estimable character or good judgment, either.

Hmmmm. <link>

Onandaga: You're so irrational, in a conversation about candidates, you'd project upon me a brutality and hypocrisy that is so beyond both of our morals. But not beyond the morals of the candidate's spouse you are trying so hard to defend. And just so you don't get confused when you scan the article (like you apparently did with Rezko), Billy boy tried to fix our economic problems by ham-fisting a verbal reprimand to China (for those atrocities you brought up), while handing them most favored nations status (which ties us down to them). So is this a cut on Hillary's experience, or a scary premonition of what she might do? As soon as you utter "But that wasn't her, it was Bill....." I dare you to claim she has any more experience than Obama.

Now, as far as relevant judgment, do you really want me to cite his superior judgment in what is the most pressing problem for our nation, Iraq? Did you misunderstand that too?

I'm sorry if you've had a few too many encounters with Obamabots, but I have had many depressing encounters with Clintaumotons. Until you can present anything positive for Clinton, I'll have to chalk this up as another....
