Grace or Disgrace
by Bilalian

Hillary is the one who needs to find grace and bow out of the race. Why can't she? Because everyone knows a white woman trumps a black man when it comes to weilding power in this part of the world. Her loss could simply be too much for her ego to bear. Since she can't find grace, she'll certainly find her stubbornness will bring her disgrace in the same way this long running racial game has brought disgrace to this nation of ours. It's time to give up on the old tired formula of white supremacy. In these events, I see the rasping, dying breath of old bigots trying their best to hold on, but like the global warming problem, the world needs to let go of those energy depleting, wasteful, incorrect, and tragic policies which lack quality and common sense. Perhaps our people will find their finest hour in relinquishing power to one who represents a salve for the ugly America spoken about in black churches all over America every Sunday. There is salvation in gracfully yielding to the on-coming storm. Let us not be stiff and find ourselves snapped off at the knees by our own stubborn arrogance - in disgrace.

This presidential election for many is becoming an issue salvation through reparation. Does the Obama measure up inspite of his skin color? The party line of the Democrats seems to be look what we have now. Let me ask you when was the last time you went to a doctor which had no experience, or if the doctor made an error you turned around and found another with less experience or qualifications. I do not get it we do not trust our lives or that of our loved ones to inexperience, yet we are willing to do it with our country? Oh and by the way common sense is the least common of all the senses.

Of course Obama measures up; I simply trust the opinion of the millions who have voted for him. He has a worldwide basis of moral authority vested from day one; this will be needed more and more as we navigate a world where white people are losing power. He is at least just as qualified as Hillary, and certainly appears to have more integrity than McCain. Millions trusted in Bush, and look where we are now. The 'unqualified' argrument only has merit if you're a white person who doesn't want to see a non-white person hold such a prestigious office. Barack Obama; leader of the free white world. Ask a Christian what would they do if Jesus returned and he was dark like say... Louis Armstrong. Would he be accepted? Or would he end up in a prison somewhere? Those positions of authority are seemly reserved for white people. The 'position' of God... how ironic - even God has been given a white face. And how ironic... some white people after so long taking advantage of people based on color, and after non-white people have brought themselves to literacy and established the ability to articulate their experience of racist practice, suddenly, some white people don't want to hear anything about color or race. Sorry... thats just not how things operate in the universe. All of that sordid modern history will be revisited. Out of that revisitation, perhaps rebirth will come to our world. That's reparation... and not of the so-called 'black' variety. That's reparation for the human soul which has been soiled by the persistent legacy of white supremacy. To say that common sense is the least common of senses does not dismiss its place in the arena of ideas. Our conversation should be an uncommon one. A conversation where I get past my embarrassment past your offense and vice versa. Even Rodney King found his moment of clarity in the midst of being cracked upside his head... can't we just all get along? We'll we can't get along in a world where we are all subject to the behests of white people who believe themselves superior to all other inhabitants of this earth. Who will bring peace to this world? If it take a nappy haired black boy like Barack Obama to do it, God bless him; bring him here. We just need to do our best to protect his life in the face of racist aggression.
