I read that article and took the quote to mean that the Clintons were damaging Obama to the extent that he couldn't win in November, not with the intention of making it harder for him to win in November. There's no way Clyburn would go ahead and voice that sentiment -- that somehow this was an intentional effort that would make McCain president -- even if he really did believe it. I mean, the guy hasn't even endorsed yet -- no way he even implies that extreme a theory!
