"In response to a caller on Thursday's program, Limbaugh appeared to soften his stance. "Who wishes for riots?" he said. Limbaugh said that on Wednesday's program he was responding to comments made by the Rev. Al Sharpton who warned of "trouble" at the convention if Democratic superdelegates decided to nominate Sen. Hillary Clinton over Sen. Barack Obama."
When Al Sharpton warns of "trouble" you should probably listen. It's not like he it happened before. How is it "hate speech"? To notice that a city burned down is hate speech? I'll bet that you give to the ACLU as well. Right? When it's what you feel like hearing then it's ok, but if it's not it's "hate speech"?
And let's face it, R.L. isn't calling for his listeners to riot, he knows that that won't happen. He's just saying the truth, riots would hurt the Democrats. As a Republican, and as a humorist, I think there is more than enough room to understand exactly what he's saying here. Obviously there's a parody going on here. It may not have been tactful, but he's a shock jock after all.
It sickens me that you take more offence to Rush Limbaug and his crappy sense of humor, than you do to the fact that Al Sharpton really has incited riots.
