HILLARY IS BAD FOR WOMEN!
by litzealot

(For the record, I'm a woman,a feminist, and a teacher who values education. I'm a mother, and I'm selective about whom my son and daughter look up to.)

Okay, I've done a great deal of post reading on many different websites and I've come to one basic conclusion since the Penn primary: HILLARY IS BAD FOR WOMEN!

She is beginning to embody the following stereotypes:

1 ) Women are bad at math.

Can she even calculate basic math...addition, subtraction, etc. I mean it's pretty simple. 2+2=4! There is no "BUT if you add..."! The answer is 4!

2) Women always change the rules in a relationship.

Why can't she stand be consistent, just for once!?! I mean this one is the worst. Why are there men even voting for her? Men have clung to this belief for years!

3) Women are irrational and too emotional.

If she's going to show the seven faces of Eve in a 24 hour period everytime she's up or down, how can people trust in her to be stable for the few seconds she'll have at 3am to make her decision about war!

4) Women are bad managers.

All I have to say is look at her campaign finances...how much money has she blown through in one year? Where's her "Democratic War Chest?" Is it in Al Gore's Lockbox? No, it was wasted in the first 8 mths before Super Tuesday, before she had a true competitor and was actually challenged. So much for maintaining a surplus like her husband...I wonder if she told him about it or if she hid the receipts in the bag like other women do. (another stereotype, of course...)

How in the world do Democrats think she's actually going to do the right thing for the country when she refuses to do the right thing for the Democratic Party and at least be good at math, uphold the rules, be rational and stable, and manage well!

Why can't we as a party let the process proceed, but recognize the person in front of us who at least exemplifies the quality of his education and his upbringing...one who values strong and capable women, like his wife! (Obama)

Where are the pillars of character in Hillary? (...look them up...it's what I taught teenagers in high school)

Regardless of race, gender, and sexuality, we should elect and back those members of our party who exemplify the pillars of character and refuse to be stereotyped.

I have to say..I'm with you.

I want a female president, but I'd like it to be a smart, capable, female who got there on her own merits, and conducts a campaign that embodies all the best traits of women, not their worst traits.

I'd like to see a strong confident female who was at least comfortable with her own gender. Hillary seems to feel that she has to "manify" herself in order to be a legitimate candidate.

Shorter hair, flats, nothing but pantsuits, coming out more hawkish in the middle east than John McCain in order to seem tough. I think it is possible to show strength as a female without trying to be a man. And as a feminist (of sorts) I find it immensely disappointing to see a strong intelligent woman throw her femaleness onto the fire as a burnt offering to the political machine.

It is the one thing (other than that nonsense about CAFTA) that convinced me that for Hillary Clinton it's all about winning, not about being a winner.
