Pandering on NAFTA , Iraq, and religion, minimizing (deceptively) his awareness of Wright's rhetoric and apparent beliefs.
Opportunism:
Parlaying a good speech at the 2004 convention, a brief gig as Senator, and widespread dismay at one of the worst administrations in history into a run for the Oval Office.
I'd say Obama can claim the title of "lying opportunist" as much as anyone else still in the race.
Running on "hope", "change", and "new ideas" isn't, well, a new idea. It's been done, and usually with disappointing results. We probably have a reasonable idea what kind of presidents Clinton or McCain will be. That might be a reason for voting against them, but it's at least as legitimate a reason for voting for them (the devil you know...)
