Yes republican and feminist.
I remember growing up in the 60's and playing basketball - and having mothers of other players tell me I did not play in a lady like manner... and fighting to make sure my brothers had their turn at washing the dishes!
Fast forward to now, I have two teenage daughters- one who is a runner who amazes me at her strength and discipline as she competes at levels that are certainly not lady like. The other who's involved in ROTC and recently completed a competition with an all female team on the same course as the bigger stronger males- and they were awesome. Both who are good at math and science and don't dumb themselves down.
I'm probably against most of what Hillary stands for on just about every subject. And yet... when I hear the kids talk about Hillary Clinton and not wanting to vote for her because she's shrill or bitchy or a nagging mom, it makes me want to go burn a bra!
It’s time we were judged by the content of our character and not the pitch of our voice when we speak!
If I continue to hear the patronizing attacks against her based on the pitch of her voice or her appearance or her husband, I may just have to vote for her. Girls need to stick together sometimes.
