Maureen Dowd
by Bonaparte
Sententiousness is not the correct word to describe Maureen Dowds work. She is reporting in satire the sententiousness of The Bush World.
This is another of the Poltical academic games ,when all else fails complicate things with far reaching adverbs that miss the meaning.

Ms. Dowd is what Victorian men expected if women were allowed to participate in serious matters--shallow articulateness: earnest focus on the frivolous; reducing serious affairs to personalized hen squawking.

Every serious woman in America should resent her, but then again we men never apologize for George Will's nannying pontifications.

It says much about our news media that she's given such an exalted pulpit.

When he stole a presidential debate briefing book from the White House and delivered it to a presidential opponent, for detailed scripting of response lines, he ceased to be a journalist altogether, but the Washington Post pays his salary even yet. Maybe the Post should change its name so as not to sully the trade..........sorry, lost my head there for a second.
