Bittergate is such a non issue and should be treated as such

Obama’s point is that people focus on non issues like gay marriage because they’re stuck with voting between 2 people that are proven not care about real issues that affect the average American, but hey at least this guy is against gay marriage so I’m voting for him. America needs to get beyond this sort of thinking. If we don't those leaders that won't even try to fix the difficult issues that face this nation (Yes, I'm speaking of both Hillary and McCain) will continue to be elected and the standard of living for the average American will continue to decline.
And you want bitter, can anyone ever say that Dick Cheney isn't bitter the few times you see him open up his mouth?
Obama’s point was that Americans need to move past this sort of garbage and focus on what’s really important for the common people of this nation. And he's being attacked on how he said it, and even admitted he could have said it alot better.
Obama may have made a mistake in choosing the words, but his point is very valid. With both of their votes on the Iraq war and unfair free trade agreements Hillary and McCain have time and again been proven to have made huge bad decisions that impacted the lives of Americans for the worse. Comparing what Obama said to these sort of mistakes is like a grain of sand to an entire desert. They have to resort to this sort of thing because they have a proven track record of supporting policies that are proven to be bad for America and the well being of the average American.
If anything, this will backfire on Hillary. Every day she's looking more and more like McCain and less like someone that would change this nation for the better.
Funny how Republicans are jumping on this issue also. You can tell they'd much rather face Hillary than Obama in the general election. Which is a clear sign to support Obama that much more if they don't want him to win the Primary.
