The Clintons pretty much don't
by Gatewood

care what members of the press think about them because they know that anything that they say or do will be twisted around to become a press attack point. So why care anymore?

The press is all but breaking their backs to carry Obama over the finish line. Pretty much the Clintons should just give you press animals the middle finger and continue to address the people of this nation directly. It's the only chance they have since the press is actively campaigning for Obama.

I think the real issue here is one of privilege. One of old school elitism. The Clinton's are old school politicians, they assume that they are much more clever and much more intelligent than the average voter.

They're also not used to the You-Tube/blogosphere generation of fact checking. So they say what's convenient at the time and assume that people will forget or just forgive them for "misspeaking".

But for those of you too young to remeber, President Bill Clinton was impeached (you know like Nixon) for lying under oath. His defense consisted of trying to twist the meaning of the word "is". And the biggest problem is not the Monica Lewinsky/blue dress issue of Bill's infidelity. The bigger problems were white water. rose law firm, tailhook, donations from the Chinese Gov't to Bills campaign for re-election, travelgate.

Hillary Clinton is desperately trying to get the backing of Unions, but she worked on the board of WAL-MART. She claims she hates free trade despite the fact that her husband (you know the other half of the twofer) passed NAFTA the biggest free trade agreement so far, and Bill's actively working on the new Columbia Free Trade agreement.

Do they think we can't read? Don't watch the news? Can't understand how what they're doing is dishonest? Can't see that they're willing to hand the real election to a Republican rather than lose the primary? So if they can't represent the working man, they'd rather nobody did?

How can the blue collar working class (btw- I'm one of them -go union!) swallow this load of codswallop, and still think that they are on our side?

....and just those OTHERS too young to remember: Nixon was never impeached (as Clinton was); he resigned rather than face impeachment.

Otherwise...good post!

Oh, that's right he resigned..sorry, and or, my bad. Thanks for the correction :)
I don't really have much use for

GOP propaganda talking points even when embraced by Obama worshipers. But you knock yourself out with your grand revisionist history that discounts partisan politics.

My god Gatewood, everytime the clintons are caught lying or caught doing anything period you, them, there lackeys all claim its a right wing conspiracy. They do this to themselves, there is no conspiracy here, wake up already!
Study history, remove your

blinders, and learn how to think. Then come back and talk to me about political reality in this nation.

It's OK, Gatewood. You have to keep that upper lip stiff for only a bit longer until....the only way you'll get to vote for Hillary is if you're a NY resident.

Gatewood, what kind of right wing conspiracy is Bill Clinton engaging in when he claims that his wife is too old and tired to know what she was saying about Bosnia???

Hmm..doesn't bode well for that 3 a.m. phone call does it?

I find it ironic that Obamacrats
by Gatewood

and GOPers are sharing the same sort of dreamworld fantasy set that ultimately got us stuck with a G.W. Bush twice over. A fundamental intellectual or emotional defect shared by certain non-thinking fanatics of both the Left and the Right?

Yep, so it seems.

I'm glad we agree
by Thevail
Bill and Hillary Clinton do have far too much in common with the right wing non- thinking fanatics ! Far to much to be real democrats anyway.

Seriously, wake up already. They keep butting their heads into the same wall O mistakes over and over again. The media is only having a field day because Clinton's campaign is giving them ammunition. Obama gets less negative attention because he's not making as many blatantly stupid mistakes.

It's much easier to avoid such mistakes when half of what you're saying isn't in some way directly conflicting with what's been said or done before or who your campaign contributors are.

TheVail: Have a quick look at the LA Times on-line today. Hillary's record on unions/job exports is far, far worse that NAFTA or CAFTA.

Some what true, but thats the problem with all democrats that run for President, they tend to be elitist, Obama is the ultimate elitist, talking down to small town people, claimgin that he understands why they are the way they are based on a single issue. Its arrogant and frankly its the biggest problem with the high level politicians in the Democratic party, they forget what it means to be human, and cite textbook garbage that supposedly explains everything.

patron002 - i think some of what you've said is the truth. i agreed with gore's positions but it was almost unbearable to listen to him give a speech. kerry is considered to be condescending even by people who vote for him and admire him.

but after watching what has happened to my country over the past eight years, i am looking for a candidate who has a brain. george bush could wear his blue cotton shirts and hunting jackets aand clear sage brush off his ranch, but he is the worst president in american history and our country is in the worst mess it's been in since the depression. hillary is trying really hard now to come off as ronald reagan, and it's simply an embarrasment. she comes from the same mold - wellesley to yale to a six-figure salary to the white house to becoming a multi-millionaire several times over and now she's acting like second-shift norma rae. i'm tired of a president who cannot even speak the english language and i'm tired of liars - and that includes the clintons.
