Nothing new under the sun. And this is the righteous man...
by mark14
30 Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31One day the older daughter said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is no man around here to lie with us, as is the custom all over the earth. 32Let’s get our father to drink wine and then lie with him and preserve our family line through our father.”

33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and lay with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, “Last night I lay with my father. Let’s get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and lie with him so we can preserve our family line through our father.” 35So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went and lay with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

36 So both of Lot’s daughters became pregnant by their father. 37The older daughter had a son, and she named him Moab; he is the father of the Moabites of today. 38The younger daughter also had a son, and she named him Ben-Ammi; he is the father of the Ammonites of today.

I think I see where you're going with this, mark14...

How old is your daughter, and what's the age of consent in your jurisdiction?

Only two sons but my daughter in law is a real sweetie and pregnant with my first grandson (not thirdson). I've considered acting like old King Solomon and getting some young wives of my own (just for the aching bones) but my wife still shows affection and enough interest in me to say "No way..."

So, are you saying because Lot had sex with his daughters, that incest is OK?

I'm saying the Bible gives Lot, a man who committed incest with not one but both of his daughters (after mom conveniently turned into a pillar of salt), as an example of the only virtuous man loved by God in Soddom an Gommorrah so maybe if we want to make an big public issue of the moral failing of a minor Civil Right leader of 40 years ago we better be ready to also do a moral reevaluation of the Old Testament and publicize the story of Lot with emphasis on, as Paul Harvey would say "the rest of the story".

That is not an answer to my question. Do you think because a story in the bible about Lot having sex with his daughters makes incest ok?

People are always using stories (fairey tales) out of the bible to justify their behavior.
