i'm not sure what the author of the weekly standard has in mind. you can't really go any further north than the north pole if you're a polar bear.
and if we relocate them to the south pole, won't they simply eat up all the nesting penguins?
where did the polar bears live 100,000 years ago, when the north pole was ice free?
oops . .. my bad. there weren't any. actually polar bears are a recent adaptation of alaskan brown bears to global cooling.
