I miss John Edwards
by glitterglo

Maybe he actually cared more about the American people than he cared about being president. Will we ever have a president again who truly cares about the poor?

YES, we'll start with you, then me, our friends,

their friends, and we shall do our part together

OK? Look, with a committed leader who is truly

colorblind, BARACK OBAMA, we can and will put

a huge huge dent in poverty's grip.

How much 'caring about the poor' out of Edwards when he isn't running for President? Maybe the cosmotologists saw their chance to improve their 'poverty' when they charged him $400.00 for a haircut! Normal people wouldn't pay $400.00 for a haircut so they would look slick enough to run for office. A person as rich as Edwards could 'help the poor' just as easy being Senator as he could being President, could he not? If helping poor people was his goal, he could help plenty in my former hometown of Chapel Hill, NC without even getting into politics! Sorry, but Edwards impresses me as just one more rich lawyer who 'cares about the poor' only during election seasons.

Edwards is a joke. He's the stereotypical ultra-rich guy who's all for raising taxes because he can afford the extra taxes and/or knows his accountants will find a way to make sure he won't have to pay them. He was okay as a veep but there are precious few people out there who could imagine him as president--which was clear by the results of his campaign.
