Even with FL and MI Clinton needs 55%
by LastManOnEarth

Funny, even if the flawed results from FL and MI were accepted, Clinton would need to run 55% victories in the remaining states.

Given that she is unlikely to significantly exceed this margin in the remaining states that most favor her and even possibly lose a number of Obama-favored states by this margin, EVEN WITH FL and MI she won't come close to winning in pledged delegates.

So, like PA and other remaining states, the FL and MI argument is not about giving voters their say (since she still loses according to the voters), but rather bringing her close enough to possibly allow the superdelegates to overturn the voters' will.

In other words, it is NOT about democracy but about party elites disregarding democracy.

Dems Rock, your candidate had the supers lined up before she announced her candidacy. She had covered what she thought were the important states with governor endorsements, she had gotten all of her big campaign money in, and she publicly announced that it would all be over in February. Your candidate was all but crowned the winner before the first primary.

A black freshman senator with an ethnic name has cleaned her clock. He has out managed and out manuvered her every step of the way.Yet you think Clinton has the insight and management experience to manage the country? Clinton failed in the one major project she was given while in the White House; Universal Health Care. Knowing where the bathrooms are in the White House does not make her qualified as POTUS.

When the election started Clinton supporters listed her extensive experience...everything from SChip to Northern Ireland. We don't hear those claims anymore because EVERY SINGLE ONE HAS BEEN DEBUNKED.

Now if you want to go ahead and support Clinton, fine. But you make an utter fool out of yourself when you imply that Obama supporters are being duped. If anyone is duped, it is you my friend.

  2. The attribution of one's own attitudes, feelings, or desires to someone or something as a naive or unconscious defense against anxiety or guilt.

Even if Clinton wins all remaining primaries, Obama will still have more pledged delegates than Clinton.

True, neither will have 2024, but Clinton will be even farther from that number than Obama.

Obama will have beaten Clinton in the primaries, and there would be something very very wrong for the supers to not recognize the choice of the voters.

Ah, yes, that fair fight. Here's a quote from an email I got from the Clinton campaign last week:

"But millions of people in Florida and Michigan who went to the polls aren't being heard. The delegates they elected won't be seated at the Democratic National Convention in Denver this August -- and that's just not fair to those voters. The people of Michigan and Florida must have a voice in selecting our nominee for president. I have repeatedly called for seating their delegates."

Here's what she said about Michigan back in October: "It's clear, this election they're having is not going to count for anything." <link>

So she wants to seat the Michigan delegation resulting from an election she said wasn't going to count for anything (never mind the fact that she was the only major candidate on the ballot).

That's not only unfair, it's not even a consistent position. Care to guess why it changed?
