Sexism Is Still Alive & Well in the Media
by isthereanysanity

You know we have a lot of big issues in this country: The Iraq War, Healthcare, the Economy, High Unemployment, slumped housing market, high gas prices, etc, etc. Why is it that the media insists on putting every action, every look, every eyebrow twitch of Senator Clinton under SO MUCH SCRUTINY????? ENOUGH ALREADY!!! Admit it, you are suffering from misogyny!

Senator Obama gets a pass on everything! If Senator Clinton had purchased her home with the assist of a convicted felon, we would hear about it 24/7 - but for Obama - we don't hear a whisper!

It appears that this democracy has some deep prejudices against female leaders! GROW UP AMERICA!

Vote Hillary - 08

Rubbish!

"Senator Obama gets a pass on everything!"

So did you sleep through the Rev. Jeremiah Wright affair?

"If Senator Clinton had purchased her home with the assist of a convicted felon, we would hear about it 24/7..."

Maybe so, but Tony Rezko is not a convicted felon.

"It appears that this democracy has some deep prejudices against female leaders!"

Hellllooo! Look at who Hillary Clinton is running against.

Obama 08!

To establish that she's being unfairly treated, you would have to demonstrate that the stuff the press is calling attention to is untrue or irrelevant. I think they squared away all issues of anti-hillary bias when they whomped on Obama for nonissues Rezko and Wright at Hill and SNL's behest. When those ran out of steam they gleefully turned on the candidate who had just accused them of an ethical lapse when she started making absurd statements about her credentials on camera.

Hillary brought this on herself by using Karl Rove tactics. Democrats don't cotton to these and the press does not appreciate attempts to manipulate it after the GOP had it dancing like a puppet for Bush's campaigns. Her campaign was stupid for trying it when she is in so many other ways similar to Bush.

If it had been Clinton who had 20 year association with such a pastor and church, claimed him as her mentor, then had video of that pastor's racist and anti American rants boradcast over worldwide television, media would have given it ten times the coverage and not let up at all. If she had such a booster as Resco, though not yet convicted, but surrounded for years with an air of corruption charges, and even after corruption reports are widely known in the Chicago area, go into a real estate deal with Resco, if it were Clinton we'd hear about it on all stations, front pages, 24/7!

If it were Hillary who made the "typical white person" remark, all of her campaign offices, senate offices and events would be picketed. Any media and their sponsors who would dare to support her would be boycotted.

He might make a good president, but the road there has been paved with gold and tilted downhill by national media and their so called pundits. Edwards, Clinton, Richardson, and the other candidates by contrast, traveled roads uphill and loaded with potholes, and gale force winds in their faces.

Hillary Clinton spent 15 years working for a corporate law firm doing the bidding of corporations including WalMart. The lengthy biography of Clinton on her campaign website leads voters to believe that Clinton spent those 15 years helping widows and orphans. This coverup is far worse than the Wright affair.

Obama 08!
