Herein lies the beauty of her lie

In their single-minded focus on the landing in Tuzla, reporters and
commentators have omitted any discussion of what Mrs. Clinton
accomplished on her trip.
The problem is not that reporters and commentators have omitted discussion of Clinton's accomplishments on her trip, Clinton, herself, glossed over them to instead tell a whopper of a fish story. Clinton was perfectly in her right to discuss her accomplishments, but instead she said:
I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some
kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran
with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.
Really, how difficult would it have been for Clinton to have discussed her accomplishments on the trip. Instead, she repeated an obvious falsehood numerous times, even after being called out on it.
Now, I ask you, is it really the presses job to say, "hey, Clinton may have completely lied about running with her head down, but she did meet with religious leaders and community activists."
As for Yellow Journalism, you should really look up the term. It refers to sensationalism and outright lying by two publishers in particular, William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pultizer. The targets of this yellow journalism were hardly hicks, rather the decision makers at the time. For instance, fabricating anti-Spanish stories to lure the U.S. into war with Spain is a fine example thereof.
