The usual superb stuff, but I do disagree with "To be fair, Yoo couldn't have known that his legal worldview would become the blueprint for torture." He not only knew that that would be the consequence, he knew that his clients were looking for him to give legal cover to do precisely that.

I think this is quite accurate. Yoo knew what he was doing, and why, and continues to defend it. He is responsible for his actions, and should be held accountable.
