As long as H.R. Clinton will support abortion and Gay rights, who cares if she tells the truth. She witnessed her husband lie under oath about a case that would have put most men in poor house for Sexual Harassment. But the Clintons have all ways been loyal to the "Cause."

Clinton's are only loyal to their thirst for power and fame... Everything else is secondary.

You think Hillary's positions on abortion and gay rights won't "evolve" if she is the nominee? Hillary lost me months ago (before Iowa) when she was asked point-blank about abortion and she couldn't give a straight yes or no answer. Instead, she said that she would "work to limit the number of abortions." WTH is that? Other than trying to have it both ways, that is. You're either pro-choice or you're not. And whichever you are, OWN your position.

As for the "so what" question, I hope you're joking. Hitchens' article makes it clear that despite her rhetoric, Hillary does not care about fighting for the average Joes & Janes of this world - she cares about her own agenda. Of course all politicians are egomaniacs of a sort, but her base shouldn't be fooled into thinking that she's going to champion anyone's cause but her own.

That said, you elect a particular person, but you get a whole administration and a Democratic administration sounds better to me than another Republican one. As someone who's pro-choice, pro national health, against the Iraq war, pro balanced budget, I'll still take Hillary in a minute, regardless of personality.

In Hitch's moral calculus, being a small time sleazy, but effective politician is much worse than being a well intentioned screw up who starts wars and sends the country into bankruptcy.
