Hey, Hillary, Obama, Pelosi, Reid...

  • Speak up,

Just what in hell are you going to do about the cost of gasoline and the soaring cost of food? California reports speak of a 30% increase in food prices, of paying $90 to fill up an SUV, $40 for a smaller car.

You have controlled Congress for 15 months and done absolutely nothing except increase world hunger by subsidizing corn, getting 35 miles per gallon of gas 12 years from now. Nothing about getting a guest worker program going to harvest any increases in crop production.

Hillary is going to retrain workers, how novel, as she spends another 30 billion dollars of our tax money to bail out real estate speculators. Obama spends another 30 billion of our tax dollars on a "stimulus program" How novel.

Mean while, Hillary, Obama, Pelosi, Reid what in hell are you going to do about the price of gasoline and the out of control inflation in food prices?

Speak up, America can not hear you!

Still cannot hear you.

Well skippy, since the costs of energy have tripled under your president and you never said a word why should anyone waste their time replying to you. Other than this discaimer I shall not waste my time either.

I will be supporting whichever Democratic candidate wins the nomination. Bush has been the worst president in history and MCain has promised more of the same.

Wrong, the cost of energy crude oil,
by skeppy3

gasoline and wheat have skyrocketed since the Dems took over Congress.

I do give you credit for having the courage to respond to a Skeppy top post.

I am discouraged to learn that you are just another variety of species lemming.

As for OUR president, the one that had 15 months of growth, the one that kept unemployment below 5%, the one that took down the Taliban and al Qaeda in Afhganistan in less that a year after 9/11 with a few thousand of our military, the one that immediately got us out of the Clinton Recession and the economic collapse that followed 9/11 with his tax cuts, the one that poured more of the nation's treasure into our Public School System. the one that was smeared 24/7 by "Progressives...I bet that NickD will cash his $600 Stimulus check when it appears in his mail box courtesy of President Bush.

Cheers

They havn't a clue...

This is what happens when people who don't have any idea about what they are talking about take the reigns. Not that Bushco was very helpful here either.

I think what many of us will have to come to grips with is that some of this stuff has no one center of blame. We are a larger world with larger needs and less to go around than ever before. We have entered a new era of anti-prosperity...it's going to be a rough ride.

Re: Wrong, the cost of energy crude oil,

I will put that 600 dollars in the bank. I am a working person and when it is time to give that money back next year during tax time just like the last so called rebate i will at least have the interest earbed.

Your president has been in office for seven years when he took office gasoline was about 1.20 per gallon. The price of gasoline last year was just under 3 dollars a gallon. Sorry skippy but tying to blame years of incompetent leadership on the part of Bush on the largely inneffective congress of last year is quite silly.

Pelosi has not been able to accomplish much of anything that bush does not want. In short Bush is having his way with pelosi and the GOP are still calling most of the shots. You may be able to fool yourself and perhaps the dittoheads who want to be fooled but Bush and the GOP has screwed this nation so hard it will take at least a generation to fix everything

When I "jump" in to a ongoing thread, I like to address people with a respectful greeting like: [dear],[sir],[Mr./Mrs], ect., Even though I can see by the comments that you made, I could lead in with: "Yo Stupid", Hey Sh_t For Brains!, What Planet Have You Been On Before You Come To Earth?---stuff like that! But; I will take the HIGH road and give ALL readers a foretaste of preceptual knowledge, IF, you are not suffering from the effects of BRAIN WASHING BY LIBERAL MEDIA!

"Once Upon A Time", we had a un-electd president named Gerald R. Ford. Mr Ford wanted to be confirmed by the people for the job but,,,,, Mr Carter come down the road and got the bright Idea he would play the part of a beguiler!

Suddenly, out of nowhere comes this Shorter than the usual fella on the spot with a real good plan to get him a bid for the president of the Land! That be them there United States! Yeah Man! My name is "Jimmy" I got a brother named "Billiey", he likes to drink beer, but I'm a religious man, that's what I am, and I need your "Christian Vote" to get me the office of the president!

Raise the Bible up and down a couple of times for ABC, CBS and NBC, and a few others and a big "PRAISE THE LORD" and well-doggy now there; We Be The President! WOW!

Facts are---AND I DEFY ANYONE TO REFUTE THEM, unless your one of those "Revisionist" types, who are now, and for quite sometime been saying: Hitler, he never slaughtered any entire groups of peoples or Jews or Poor People or handi-capped people or anything like that! We seem to be mis-informed about his true intentions and motiviations, he really loved his fellow man, he just had a big mis-understanding with a few people! Yeah, RIGHT---

Well, Mr. Carter gave us, and his MAJORITY house & senate colleagues, "Sky High Taxes" and DOUBLE DIGIT INFLATION along with DOUBLE DIGIT INTEREST RATES and DOUBLE DIGIT UN-EMPLOYMENT to pay our bills with! There's a real friend for you!

Ah you quip, well, he got sour grapes handed to him, what's a guy supposed to do?

Gasoline before the embargo, (and that was 1974), was selling for 31.9---32.9 average for quit some time! I know, I was there! I was licesenced to drive on 3 May 1972, and brought loads of gas at the pumps for a "BUCK", and got 3.2 to 3.3 gallons for it!

Todays rates, same gallons? try $11.25 to $12. 00 BUCKS and some higher on the East Coast! As far as the argument goes, gas was going up from 1964--1966, thru the late 60's because gas at the pump in 1959---1961 was about 22.9 to 23.9 average! 10 years prior to that it was about 17-18.9 to 20.9 respectivily, and some was a few cents cheaper! My Grand-Father told me that he brought gas back in the day for his Model T, the cheapest he ever brought it for was 7 gallons for 98 cents! Believe it or not---my Grand Father "NEVER" lied to me in his entire life! Lying was not in his nature or character!

Alone come a Real Man by the name of Ronald Wilson Reagan! Thank-God! This man was so feared, Before he could get his acceptance speach done and get to the "situation room" to get right to our 444 day HOSTAGE debacle, left by JEC, "the dud",

BAM--there off,,, off to freedom and back to their families! If we had of kept JEC in there and not elected Reagan, I.M.H.O., we would of lost all of those hostages and we would have see it done on LIVE TV, Lop, Plop, Lop, Plop, head severed off, after head severed off, just like the NIck Berg video showed us just how they do it, those same bunch of BAST_ARDS that are in control over there now, except, you DEMS and your Pathetic weakie, awe, Hell's Bells, "Draw me up some more lines of "COCAINE" Hamiliton Jordan, would you please there sir! Ickey-wadded, coke head nimbo f_cks who would piss all over a wet dream, commy lovin---McCarthy had you pegged socialists tax hiking bind the people in taxation gluttoneus demoniacs stright from your father, the devil himself, poor pitiful souls---except that I do not have any pity for you, but---

There is a Nazerene who bleed and died and rose again on the third day! the only way you will ever escape this life of bungling you so desired to shackel a nation to debt and financial ruiniation and despair is call upon the name of Yaheshua Messiah, and pray to your Father Almighty Yahweh in heaven allows your nimble sickley prayers to be heard so he will take pity upon your pathetic life of ruin, and shed his blood abroad in your heart and spirit that you may escape Eternal damnation forever. There is a street-road to travel upon to get to where you need to be but, it is a "ONE WAY" trip, and fail it here---you will NEVER BE THERE!

Educationial Level of Intellegence Not Required To Report the Sure Loss of Eternal Life that is a prerequisite for the remission of sins before you take your last breath!

So now, here we are, Clinton takes over, ship has been stimulated for at least 10 years,(about the amount of time it takes to plunder the wealth of the nation and put us is chrisis mode), and what happens, 1998--look it up scholar! Gasoline 59.9! How do I know? I was on this planet when it happened! I don't know where you were! Now there was some rough spots, some never got below 75-80 cents a gallon, but Inflation was DOWN! Economy strumming along, WOW, looks like we can string it till the 2000 campaign is over and Big Al, she's all yours! Wrong! Prices started going up, and up, and up, 15, 18, 23, 25 cents per week or every other week! What happened? You Democratic Idoits shot the economy right in the jugular vein, and bleed out the wealth too fast! Utt, Oh! Gig was up! Economy tanking! everybody knew it! GWB wins, Every, I mean Every Democrat in the house and senate opposed everything GWB tried to do to fix the mess, but you never backed him to the hilt and never will and that's why we are still in the mess were in but NO, it's not the Dems. fault now is it? Give me a break!

You facisist Libs & Dems need to get a real life and stop plundering mine! Nuff said.

Following c & p'd from :

Fascism

3. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause. The most significant common thread among these regimes was the use of scapegoating as a means to divert the people’s attention from other problems, to shift blame forfailures, and to channel frustration in controlled directions. The methods of choice—relentless propaganda and disinformation—were usually effective. Often the regimes would incite “spontaneous” acts against the target scapegoats, usually communists, socialists, liberals, Jews, ethnic and racial minorities, traditional national enemies, members of other religions, secularists, homosexuals, and“terrorists.” Active opponents of these regimes were inevitably labeled as terrorists and dealt with accordingly.

5. Rampant sexism. Beyond the simple fact that the political elite and the national culture were male-dominated, these regimes inevitably viewed women as second-class citizens. They were adamantly anti-abortion and also homophobic. These attitudes were usually codified in Draconian laws that enjoyed strong support by the orthodox religion of the country, thus lending the regime cover for its abuses.

6. A controlled mass media. Under some of the regimes, the mass media were under strict direct control and could be relied upon never to stray from the party line. Other regimes exercised more subtle power to ensure media orthodoxy. Methods included the control of licensing and access to resources, economic pressure, appeals to patriotism, and implied threats. The leaders of the mass media were often politically compatible with the power elite. The result was usually success in keeping the general public unaware of the regimes’ excesses.

9. Power of corporations protected. Although the personal life of ordinary citizens was under strict control, the ability of large corporations to operate in relative freedom was not compromised. The ruling elite saw the corporate structure as a way to not only ensure military production (in developed states), but also as an additional means of social control. Members of the economic elite were often pampered by the political elite to ensure a continued mutuality of interests, especially in the repression of “have-not” citizens.

13. Rampant cronyism and corruption. Those in business circles and close to the power elite often used their position to enrich themselves. This corruption worked both ways; the power elite would receive financial gifts and property from the economic elite, who in turn would gain the benefit of government favoritism. Members of the power elite were in a position to obtain vast wealth from other sources as well: for example, by stealing national resources. With the national security apparatus under control and the media muzzled, this corruption was largely unconstrained and not well understood by the general population.

14. Fraudulent elections. Elections in the form of plebiscites or public opinion polls were usually bogus. When actual elections with candidates were held, they would usually be perverted by the power elite to get the desired result. Common methods included maintaining control of the election machinery, intimidating an disenfranchising opposition voters, destroying or disallowing legal votes, and, as a last resort, turning to a judiciary beholden to the power elite.

Although the poster of this web site was combining Nazism with Fascism.

Fascism is the government works through the corporations (simplified). Corporations control the bulk of the money and it is doled out via them. A type of "Santa Claus" idealogy.

It was where most of the US was at during the 20s and 30s. Chaplin's film making fun of Hitler garnered him a lot of negative publicity. Heck people loved Germany in the US, we were pro Germany, if it wasn't for Pearl Harbor, it's unlikely we would have intervened in the European war.

Communism is the opposite of Fascism, communism is the elimination of all property of the individual, all property belongs to a collective state.

a fascist liberal would most closely define a moderate Republican

a red-bellied liberal would most closely define a moderate Democrat.

a fascist Democrat. JFK, RFK or KKK.

The flag is attacked because of the fear that it could represent Nationalism

So can a nice big thick....hot dog

The only woman with a grin is Hillary so Bill Clinton wins.

Well Skeppy3, I see there is no stomach here on this thread for too much comment, seeing how the LIBERAL LEFT just do not like to be around some people who will call them out when they opine the old "Joe Schmo" line of bunk that never produces the only logical conclusion of the preverbial equasion of 2+2!

They will try to divert the "real" true/truth; of any topic mentioned or imagined or both! Blame it on the night, blame it on Broadway, blame it on a Republican, or blame it on Bush/Chaney, but do not blame it on the Dems./or Liberals!

Al Franken has got a phd from Yale, (joke), James Carville, has got a professional "Jukester" degree from NBC, CNBC, and MSNBC, all three of his Mighty Main-stays of Mass Media Inc. cannot top the first three of the Fox News Prime Time line up starting at 8pm.

Paul Bagalia included cannot sweeten up the deal enough to get them past Fox in the evening! Just who do they think there foolin? Sure Ain't ME!

Truth is, I used to be one of them, yes,,I'm now officialy ashamed to say I registered as a Democrat in 1972, of which I sincerely regret having done so, in spite of the fact that all of my past forefathers were registered and voted Democratic all the way back when they were sometimes known to lock horns with a few "Whigs".

You can rave all you want about the Mighty Dems.& the great FDR, but if you were to know the real truth about what he did at Yalta, and what he [gave away] to Stalin, You would know why Russian Tanks run right over people in 1956 in Yogoslavia, and other Confererate States, with the last Big Mistake being Afganistan, then you will come to understand more about the "favorite son of American Patriotism", and his "Party", that may make your stomach to begin to turn over, and your guts to feel like a tightly twisted wrung out dirty wash cloth!

Hey! You got a computer, do the math! Google FDR, Google YALTA ACCORD, do something to educate yourself about the facts, instead of getting caught up in campaign histeia, and Hurrah, Hurrah, GO HILLARY! GO OBAMA!

You don't even have a clue why you do those things?

Jesus said: Let the "blind lead the blind", they shall "BOTH" fall into the ditch! Isn't that where you really are right now going--- Hurrah, Hurrah???

Jesus also said: Ye MUST be born again! Meaning Spritual re-BIRTH! Acceptance of his divine nature and character!

For it is written: Unless ye be "Born Again" you will never see GOD, Our Father, who art in Heaven! All I know is, I'm not a gambler, I believe his words, I have confessed before him and man, I want to be with him for eternity!

Just think--- eternal freedom from blogging or having to read one!

What a putz you are.

Re: Hey, Hillary, Obama, Pelosi, Reid...
by ChicagoEngineer

Its really very simple...

Expensive, unnecessary war + irresponsible tax cuts + negative interest rates = Crashing dollar & commodity bubble. Oil & gas go up, which in turn impacts the cost of food. And raw materials. And imports. And... well... everything.

I don't know that the Democrats are going to fix that, but McCain has laid out plans to make things worse. So there's that.

Re: Wrong, the cost of energy crude oil,
by NickD

Get a clue dumb ass.

You people controlled congress for 12 years, 6 with a GOP president and congress.

You doubled the national debt and overextended the military. The Taliban and terrorists control most of Afghanistan again because you stupid fools wanted to invade Iraq and did not finish the job that needed done. So don't act like you are taking the high road when you splash deeper in the sewer than anyone here.

I thank God the Democrats tried to stop Bush, but guess what, the GOP had control and Bush got his way on almost everything so quit trying to distort reality. You're a flippin fool, cause only a fool would back Bush to the hilt.

GOP record:

ten trillion dollar federal debt.

exhausted and over extended military

record trade deficits

record low dollar

record health-care costs

record food costs

record energy costs

sinking middle class

in bed with communist China

There has not been a good thing happen for the working class of America since the GOP took control of congress in 1994.

I have been around awhile also bozo and i know better than to fall for the horseshit people like you like to peddle over the Am airwaves.

I think you would whine like a little schoolgirl who couldn't have a twinkie after class if you actually had to work for your living.

Re: Wrong, Dwindling resources
by jeqal

dwindling resources + competition for remaining resources from rising world powers. (China/Africa).

Decentralized populations.(US)

Lack of conservation

Lack of aggressive alternatives to fossil fuels.

I think we should have villages that are more self contained, that allow for sharing of resources.

We should start an infrastructure of roads

We should beautify our landscape and limit the eyesores of strip malls.
