As a boss of mine used to say, anyone can get to work on time when the weather's good. And it is easy to support the Constitution when we are in fat, happy, peaceable times. It is exactly when the devil's wind blows that the the forest of the Constitution and its civil rights is most needed... and hardest to protect.
