Pirates
by IowaGuy2

I, too, was a life-long fan of the Pirates, which was hard to be, living in Iowa (no televised games).

After the Pirates refused to be sold to Mark Cuban, I realized that they were content to be a Triple-A farm club for the rest of the league, and finally switched interest to the Cubs, who, although they haven't won a world series as recently as the Pirates, nonetheless win baseball games occasionally.

I'm not sure why anyone in Pittsburgh would pay to go to a Pirates game.

Cuban didn't make good "business" offer. Not sure he would have been approved had he - but just about anyone would be a better owner than the current ones outside of Donald Sterling.

Anyways - it is a very nice ballpark - probably the best in the game. Going to the games is enjoyable, so long as you aren't counting on them to win, though they weren't terrible at home last year.

Also - they have a lot of fireworks nights. And we love fireworks here in Pittsburgh. (As in - people record the televised 4th of July fireworks here.)
