Barack Obama is feeding you a LIE . .
by denny

Barack Obama would like the Wright controversy to go away. He wants you to believe that he was "unaware" of the racist and anti-white rhetoric in many of Wrights sermons and that he never supported such positions. But none of that is consistent with Obama's past "history".

Barack Obama's own account of his life shows that he consciously sought out people on the far left fringe. In college, he noted in his book - "I chose my friends carefully" According to Obama, these friends included "Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk rock performance poets" -- as well as the "more politically active black students." He later visited a former member of the terrorist Weatherman underground, who endorsed him when he ran for state senator.

Those are exactly the same reasons, twenty years ago, he was drawn to the fiery rhetoric of Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Wright is in the same mold as the kinds of people Barack Obama began seeking out in college -- members of the left, anti-American counter-culture. And for him to now say that he was unaware of what Wright had to say is is the height of hypocrasy - worse, it's an outright LIE.

We can be critical of Hillary for trying to "embellish her resume" as she did when she spoke about her trip to Bosnia. But what Obama is trying to do is far worse - with his sudden political rise of being the leading candidate for the Democratic party's nomination has required him to project an entirely different persona - one that does not exist in reality - that of a leader who can heal the divisiveness and bring us all together.

I read all this crap and wonder are people that gulable?????

we have a bunch that don't want to study any of it and simply vote for the party which I think is rediclous. Not me. I have no party, I am neither a Dem or Republican not a Liberal which many on the board think I am and that is really funny because Did they ever ask? Hello no. Well out of here. just one post answer today. disgusted. LOL Anna

I'm not trying to say that Obama still endorses all of the anti-white positions of Rev. Wright. He may very well have mellowed as he has grown older. But there is also no question that, as a young man, he sought out those exactly like Wright - he discusses it openly in his book. And for him to try to deny any such knowledge, because it is "politically embarrassing", is dishonest.

It would have been far better for him to say that, when he was younger, he was angry about the way that blacks were treated in America and associated himself with those who sought to bring about change, like Wright.
That would have been far more "honest" than trying to claim that somehow he was unaware of what Wright had to say.

Especially since he first denied knowing about it and then admitted it. He told a lie!

Oh, Denny, you are going to be in a heap of trouble.
See no evil, speak no evil ,hear no evil about Obama.

One of the reasons I feel the way I do is the fact we do not know anything about him. I have been reading up as fast as I can and things are adding up.

You're talking about Obama as a young man in his, what, late teens, or early twenties? I don't know about you, but, at 40, I was an entirely different person from what I was in my earlier years.

To be honest, in my early years I was a shit, a young, very right wing soldier, I'd hate for people to judge me on what I was then, and what I was even five years later.

I don't know, perhaps you've always been perfect!

I guess I missed Obama finally admitting that he knew about Wright. They think that they can tell us anything and we will simply accept their version of the truth.

Wulk - that's my point . .

I don't hold Obama accountable for his thoughts and ideas when he was in his twenties. But that is not what he said. Instead of admitting that he once believed what Wright was preaching, instead he tried to claim his was "unaware" of these kinds of sermons. And that is simply a LIE.

Age is no excuse.. He has been sitting in those pews for 20Years!! Why would any right thinking person expose young children to that racist rhetoric? To raise another generation of blacks bigoted against whites? That very kind of crap is one reason this situation carries on generation after generation.I think it also emboldens them and gives them a sence of entitlement.

While I`m on a roll here I may as well say I have read many articles about BOs radical Muslim brother, Obongo"Roy" Obama. I know some will say that yo can`t choose you relations, but the is a possibility that BO has been influenced by his bro..

considered it one of the more educational things I'd ever read. This was while I was in college.

I studied the Black Panther movement and the Weathermen, and the SDS...all while in High School and college.

That's what you do in education, you push the envelope and read, see, listen and learn things you never heard at home.

It's called getting an education and growing up.

Would you rather go back to "Well I smoked it,but I never inhaled ."

Obama told the truth...do you think Clinton never inhaled ?

Wulk,if Obama was just a young thing that would be different.

He sat in that Church for 20 years. There is no way he could not know what Wright was preaching.

We know so little about this man and his family,That person will be sitting in the Whitehouse making decisions that will afftect us all.

We do not need another Learner in there. We need someone who is qualified to lead.

Barack Obama made a "political career" out of being a community activist - especially in the black ghetto community. I have no problem with that - I believe he honestly empathizes with the fate of those who have been far less fortunate than he and his wife and set out to try and make a difference.

But now he is running for the democratic presidential nomination, and he is doing so on a radically different basis, claiming that he wants to bring us all together. But, despite his efforts to the contrary, he cannot hide from his past if he expects us to believe that he is sincere.

Obama told the truth...do you think Clinton never inhaled ?

That is entirely possible. I tried to inhale when I was younger and it was smart to smoke. I almost choked to death. I never could inhale.

there is a difference

between lying about drugs vs lying about possibly being a closet racist.

I looked at the comments about their tax return. They gave to a black church and a couple of other black organizations. What about Michelle's comments?

What if Hillary only gave to organizations that helped white people?

Obama is trying to sell that he is a uniter. I never dreamed that he would be a racial divider, but it's happening.

McCain could win. And that my friend depresses the hell out of me.
