Make if I were trying to highlight someones lack of experience. Firstly, it is entirely a semantics argument that will never get traction. All of the lecturers I know at Universities in the US, Europe, Japan, and even China commonly call themselves and are referred to by others as professors. This is done whether they are tenure track lecturers or not. Why? Because there are distinctions made in academia that don't really translate into popular discourse. Your job title might be assistant style editor but you are a journalist.

Secondly, upon further inspection one learns that Senator Obama was teaching while practicing law and working in the state senate. Sounds like an unqualified idiot.

Yes and Hillary Clinton wasn't a heroic peacemaker. She was a first lady.
