eharmony.com selective?
by ljrmiller

Eharmony.com is NOT selective. The only traits I have that qualify me for eharmony.com are being female, unmarried (divorced, to be specific) and heterosexual. I answered the questions completely and brutally honestly. I'm not suited to life with a partner, or even dating, and I said so in my profile. I said I wasn't really looking, but just seeing what the software would do. In spite of admitting to mental illness, being seriously overweight, and NOT wanting to meet anyone, I was "accepted" and presented with "suitable" matches. Those matches included men who wanted women with perfect, athletic bodies, women who were interested in motocross racing, and just about everything I'm NOT. What's more, not a ONE of the matches presented appealed to me. They all made me shudder.

In other words, if you are female, alive, unmarried and heterosexual, eharmony will present you with men who are alive, unmarried and heterosexual. I could do that well on my own, if I wanted to seek out a man to date or marry.

I've gotten the same when looking for women on e-harmony and other sites...its kinda funny many women on these sites want the hunks but are not hunkettes themselves. Many have way outdated pics and will email guys and never answer in return. It seems they just are in the business of counting responses. But again getting back to the subject I dont think they discriminate....if they have no other gay men then they cant very well match another one up can they. Also there are plenty of gay sites....should straight males or females feel slighted if we dont get a straight match on them????
