Obama the racist?

How can Obama get away with making such a racist statement?

From 610 WIP in Philadelphia yesterday morning:

"610 WIP host Angelo Cataldi asked Obama about his Tuesday morning speech on race at the National Constitution Center in which he referenced his own white grandmother and her prejudice. Obama told Cataldi that "The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity, but that she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know (pause) there's a reaction in her that doesn't go away and it comes out in the wrong way."

My response:

We doubt this story will have legs, but wonder if Hillary Clinton referred to a "typical black person," would we ever hear the end of it?"

Whose is bringing up race?

Yes, it's a double standard, just like the one that allows Jerry Falwell to be accepted as an ally by the Republican party despite the fact that he thought America deserved 9/11 but doesn't allow Obama the luxury of standing by his preacher of 20 years for the latter's expressing similarly extreme views.

It's just history, man. Obama as a black man saying things about white people doesn't carry the same historical weight. It doesn't feel equal because there are literally hundreds of years of oppression called up by your scenario, one that HRC or any intelligent white person should be unwilling to associate themselves with.

Deal with it.

You people always want to pose "Straw Dogs", you just can't bring yourself to stick to the issue; that being a racist that would be president, an empty shirt that has been lying from the very begining.

I personally don't care what the color of his skin is, he is a racist by his own statements.

Maybe you don't have the guts to standup for what is right, but I do, and I shall.

Also, Obama is not a "BLACK MAN", his mother is white. We are all a mixture of races, not black, not white, not yellow, but a mixture.

That does not give me, or you the right to make statements like;

"she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know (pause) there's a reaction in her that doesn't go away and it comes out in the wrong way."

You keep saying he is a racist but you won't say what race he hates. Once and for all, please tell us, does Obama hate his white half, or his black half? Does he hate his mother and grandparents, or does he hate his own children, who are at least 1/4 white.

Go ahead, if Newt can concede Obama's no racist, then you can do it too. Try it, it won't hurt.

Why don't you try explaining the real reason you don't like Obama?

Does he mention black people, or yellow people in the statement below, no, he only mentions a "Typical White Person". Do you have to hit with something hard before you see what is saying?

"The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity, but that she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know (pause) there's a reaction in her that doesn't go away and it comes out in the wrong way."

He sold out his grandmother to save his minister Wright, and you are next.

I saw you answering your own posts. Once, twice, thrice, it looks strange. If you think black people are racist because they talk in generalities about white people, then you are basically admitting that everyone is a racist. If everyone is a racist, why bother nitpicking who is a bigger one?

Democrats should embrace a candidate linked to white-hate because Republicans embrace a candidate linked to black-hate?

That is some decidedly twisted logic.

Because Obama and his supporters want it both ways. They decry the Clintons as racists when it swings voters in South Carolina. But they want to sweep the white-hate under the rug and tell us it isn't important. They want to be the campaign that isn't about race, that is beyond dirty, divisive politics. They point the finger at everyone else.

Then it's revealed they are just as guilty, not only are they just as deep in stereotyping and race-blaming, but they pile on hypocrisy, too. I can stomach a lot of dirty politics, but point at the other guy for pissing on us and calling it rain when your doing the same with the other hand.

Who made the Wright thing an issue? Certainly not Obama. It was Fox News. Did they do it to help Obama? Does having race at the forefront help him? Did he make Bill Clinton say stupid things in South Carolina?

Where did Obama say the Clintons are racists? Maybe you should distinguish between his "supporters" and his official campaign.

If you refer to Bill's statements, it was the media that pushed that one. Ferraro? Obama flatly said that she is not a racist nor was her statement. He just said it was incorrect.

Ok LDP, we're finally getting somewhere. You think Obama is racist against white people. He hates his white half, not his black half. He hates his grandmother and mother.

Don't you have a tea-party to attend?

Move down no room JTS, you are late, you are late, to late to admit you are wrong about this empty shirt.
