At minimum, you should have realized that your president was a man who had failed at everything he'd ever attemped. He is a dangerous, spoiled, petulant little child. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, and we all knew that. We knew that the inspectors had, in fact, gotten back into Iraq and that there was nothing there ... nothing. We also now know, from Paul O'Neill, that Bush and Cheney began to plan the Iraq War before 9/11. We knew he gleefully signed every death warrant presented and that he mocked Karla Faye Tucker. You and your fellow war cheerleaders have blood on your hands. I'd suggest sending whatever money you made from writing this to the families of the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis you helped kill.

Your first link references a 238-count indictment as the source of your quote. "Kitchen sink" indictments are not proof. Indeed, Cheney himself didn't refer to this particular allegation. The tie Cheney did make between Al Qaeda and Iraq was discredited long ago by none other than the CIA.

Plus, they had running water and electricity. He was contained - no reason to have attacked. I'm guessing you're a two-time Bush voter. I am dying for some good news and would love to see you lay out for all of us here in the Fray how life has improved for the average Iraqi under our management. Don't forget to mention any improvements to their economy, medical care, education, and security. If it is too hard to find detailed data to support all of the improvements in Iraq post Saddam, you can use macro data like birthrates and deathrates, or you can just make some up.

If the hundreds of billions of dollars we're giving to Halliburton, Blackwater, and other war profiteers wasn't being looted, then maybe we would see improvements to their economy, medical care, education, and security.
