David, I am disappointed in you simply because I view every member of the gabfest team as being better educated and a better master of the english language than myself. Fewer is used when there is a countable number in comparison such as delegates or cows. Less is when it is uncountable or abstract like having less water or gravitas. And Emily, while getting the answer right in your correction, I guess I expected a more confident rebuke of his misuse.
