Otherwise, there is just no way you could vote for McCain who is diametrically opposed to both Obama and Hillary on every major issue. Protesting Hillary by voting for McCain is the equivalent of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I'm right there with you, and these claims are the things that I am hearing with depressing frequency. It never ceases to amaze me that there are people, on either side of the Obama/Clinton debate, who would be so fed up if their candidate doesn't win that they would switch and vote for McCain out of spite.

What's even more amazing is the fact that they describe this as the way they would act on principle! It makes you wonder what those principles are.
