From the article Emily Bazelon, appears a scarse knowledge of the prostitution reality. The great majority of prostitutes are doing it because they have to do it for theyr "pimps" because the "pimps" are the only ones tha give them seyual satisfaction and the "gentlemen are expensive. There is another group that do not have a "pimp" but are in continuous search of satisfaction possibly from customers. Money is not the most important motive of prostitution, is important just to pay the pimps" or to dress well and present themselves well. If they find a man that gives them satisfaction, they offer to him anything to have him more often. There is a problem of legality of course that comes up from time to time in human history, but this is only a marginal problem.

The problem is 95% a peoblem of hormones.
