Sex Addiction does not discriminate

My heart goes out to the whole Spitzer family. Nine months ago I made a similar discovery about my husband and partner of 20 years. The pain and disruption of having the whole context of my life ripped away in an instant was excrutiating. Fortunately I found information about sex addiction that helped me understand what we were going through. It's not an easy path, and "the right thing to do" is different for each person when dealing with sex addiction.
I hope that if this is what the Spitzers are facing that they are able to get the help they need. Withough the books and support groups I turned to to understand this disease I don't know how I would have had the strength to make thoughtful decisions that are, at the moment, allowing us to preserve our family, heal ourselves and maintain a good life for our child.
For anyone facing this crisis in their lives I recommend Patrick Carnes' book Out of the Shadows.
