IMHO, the scene with Marlo and Chris after Ormar is killed is somehow tied to the scene with Dookie and Poot in the shoe store.
After being on the lamb, Chris may be tired of the life. He was very upset about having to be away from his family and Marlo's wanting to go to AC is just more time away from the family. Chris is absolutely bored being a gangster. I think Chris has had enough, just like Poot had enough of the corner and got a real job. The problem Chris has is he is in too deep now and can't get out like Poot did. Chris is going to jail regardless of whether or not he helps the police and will again be away from his family.
HBO does a good job of making sympathetic villain out of people. Chris will become a sympathetic villain by the end of this season. Ormar is the biggest sympathetic villain The Wire had and he is now gone. Chris is a complete sociopath, but somehow we will feel sorry for him by the end of the year. My guess is he rolls on Marlo in front of Bunk. Chris will still go to jail where he belongs or he will be killed by one of the Greeks.....or, I could be completely wrong. Either way, he gets what he deserves.
