Re: Article/Election

I have been a Republican for 25 years and I support the candidacy of Senator Barack Obama for many reasons. One, I was against the war in Iraq from the getgo. Two, this is the most decadent, corrupt, blatantly arrogant republican Administration I have ever seen in my lifetime, although when it is all said and done, it may rival the Teapot Dome Scandal. Third, I have been rich and I have been poor. But healthcare for all is a necessity. Britain adopted it after WWII when all the Brits were being bombed by the Germans. We really need to have unity in our nation. Everyone needs to get something from serving this country and everyone needs to serve their country in some way. It's been a one way street to increase the wealth of the rich and the coffers of the oil companies and military industrial complex- as Eisenhower warned us about- under the Bush Administration. Things aren't always so superficial. Read "State of Denial" by Bob Woodward and wake up and smell the coffee! We're all paddling in the same boat.
