Hillary Clinton at the State of the Black Union
by arlinder

I think Senator Obama is wonderful, but I was awed by the guts of Senator Clinton as she faced a very one-sided crowd on live television yesterday. After hearing Al Sharpton's ramp-up of the crowd, I would not have blamed her if she feigned illness and left the premises. The lone Senator took the stage and gave a pretty okay speech to a full house at the annual State of the Black Union conference. But then she sat down and took some pretty hefty questions from Tavis Smiley and held her own. She did it in a way that made you think that those who doubt her ability to bring people together are dead wrong. It was really something to see. If Senator Obama does not win the nomination, no Democrat should feel shorted by having Senator Clinton. They are both pretty wonderful options.
