The Linux Option

The article briefly mentions the "virtual desktops" that have been a standard feature of Linux for years; I find these very useful to reduce desktop clutter and distraction.

I also use a plain text editor, though nothing quite as drastic as WriteRoom. But it took me only about five minutes to reconfigure my editor, Kwrite, to resemble WriteRoom. And a friend has done likewise for Vim and Gvim. I've posted instructions and a screenshot at <link> for those who might be interested.
