To answer your question: No, I have never been robbed (while at home), nor raped. I was assaulted once, but didn't wish I had a weapon to KILL the attacker. No, I've never lived in a lawless land and pity any fool who does. I've always strived to live in nice neighborhoods and have kept dogs to roam the yard. So far, I've managed to live nearly 50 years without the need nor desire to KILL a fellow human being. If your world is such that you need lethal protection, may I advise you to MOVE.

Seems to me, living a pacifistic life and wishing not to harm fellow citizens is far less hysterical than you referencing the Warsaw Uprising to justify your blood lust.
