I still don't understand why Chelsea Clinton is getting this particular kind of attention. I've been conscious of election campaigns from JFK onwards and I've seen spouses and children appearing on behalf of candidates for all of them. I haven't ever heard of any of them being "pimped out" or "dragged around" on behalf of their candidate husbands or fathers. I think that part of the objection to the "pimped out" comment is that it is, at the least, a negative judgment on a practice engaged in by all candidates. Not BaRockstar's Christmas card with his lovely wife and cute children. Chelsea is, indeed, a grown-up and likely makes her own decisions. It would just be nice if the press would treat her as such.
