I went looking for pictures of them to see who you were talking about. I have to say, knowing that these girls are only 16 doesn't make me feel any better about them being unhealthy. It may be natural for tall girls to be freaky skinny at that age (I was one of them), but setting up that body type and that eerily young image as an aspirational look is just disturbing.
