She married someone with whom she had common interests. She put her career on hold, yes it was her decision to have a family and supported her husband. And now like countless other women, after her child has grown up and her husband has realized his ambitions, she is trying to pursue her career. Just like George W. benefitted from his father's connections. She has benefitted from the Clinton connections.
Whose to say if she hadn't married Bill she might not be a Senator anyway. She is certainly capable enough regardless of whom she married.
