Is this really what New York City has become? I moved away three years ago after 20 years in the magazine business (back in the days when Conde Nast Office Services used to bring you chilled bottle of Veuve Cliquot for office birthday parties) but the world was not so shallow and money obsessed. More importantly, are the women on Cashmere Mafia going to vote for Obama or Clinton? My guess: They're too busy and self involved to vote
