Robert Weintraub's article said it all. The NY Giants didn't listen to all the experts saying they would lose SB42. Most of the experts said they wanted to see history made, they put down the Miami' Dolphins perfect season saying there weren't as many games, no Free Agency and no Salary Cap to deal with back then. The extra burdens the Patriots had to deal with didn't hurt them for the first eighteen games, why should it effect the last game to prevent a win? The Patriots were simply out played and out coached. Coach Belicheck always had the adjustments to fix anything from the first half of any game, this Sunday he came up blank. Perhaps he waited for the Giants to fade away late in the game, (They almost did) The Giants didn't fade as much as the Patriots needed them to and stayed in Tom Brady's face to the end.
