Kenmore Humidifier
by gdmedia
This is our second winter with one of these Kenmore humidifiers. It's a great unit, works really well. The replacement filters -- we seem to use about 3 per winter -- I have bought offbrand, by the case, from Amazon.

Sears calls it a "Whole House Humidifier" but I doubt it would do a lot for a whole house with the heater running. But for our big combo bedroom & sitting room, it's perfect.

In the review here, the headline calls it an "8-gallon humidifier" but then says you fill the 1.2 gallon tank twice to load the machine with its maximum amount of water. I thought that woud make it a "2.4 gallon humidifier".

But actually, according to the owner's manual, it has "12 gallon output", meaning it can humidify 12 gallons of water in 24 hours. I guess that's the way they are classified. The capacity of the "bottle" (tank) is given as 1.9 gallons and the capacity of the base as 2 gallons.
