Having read Goldberg's book, Timothy Noah's critique, Goldberg's response and Noah's rejoinder, I have to think to myself that someone like Goldberg who displayed great intellectual faculties in the past, though I have often disagreed with his views, he has apparently flipped his lid. I almost thought it was all some very dry satirical response, but the poor fellow actually believes his own screed. He must have finally cracked from all the strain. Remove his pen and all sharp objects, replace his laptop with an Etch-A-Sketch, the subject is now too far gone to be worth taking seriously, except as a threat to his own and possibly others, well-being.
