Re: Two state solution

At this point there is a reasonable case to be made for a 3 state solution: Israel, Palestine and Hamastan (Gazaland?). أرضغزّة غزة الارض

amen to that. the political climate in the west bank isn't that close to that in Gaza. there's a lot more folks in the west bank who know they could benefit from a reasonably friendly situation with Israel than in Gaza, where "kill the Yahood" is probably the most popular description of most people's life goals.

Ironically, that intransigence is probably what leads to things like Israel pulling out of Gaza as a lost cause, while still stringing the West Bank along. human nature, hang out in any courthouse in the US and watch the hyper-aggressive folks get what they want, justice or not, while the halfway reasonable folks get screwed.

Best solution might very well be to separate the two, let the West Bank and Israel settle up without requiring a solution to the Gaza situation, and then the two can work together to forge a peace treaty with Gaza in a way that Israel alone can't.
