The Democrats and Democratic Party failed to stand up for what is right for the entire eight years of the Bush / Cheney White House misrule. They gave away our American two-party system; they gave away majority rule; they gave away our civil rights and bill of rights and civil liberties; they gave away the constitutional authority of the Legislative Branch to declare wars; they gave away the store, funding this misadventure War in Iraq to the tune of $1 Trillion and counting; they gave away the great economy we had built up with the efforts of two great presidents: William Jefferson "Bill" Clinton, and Ronald Reagan; they gave away our energy security, by stymying any meaningful energy legislation for years, under Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle and his deputy, the Senator from New Mexico; they gave away the Middle East to war and instability; they gave away the U.S. Supreme Court (which may be a good thing, when it comes to Abortion and repealing that fiasco pro-Abort Roe v. Wade decision); they gave away the Democratic Party to these non-Democrats and others in the downright strange State of New Hampshire; they gave away the Democratic Party of Eleanor and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Adlai Stevenson, Hubert Humphrey, Walter Mondale, Morris Udall, Ed Muskie, and Richard J. Daley to the likes of Gary Hart and George McGovern and Ted Kennedy and Chris Dodd and Bella Abzug and Gloria Steinem and Planned Parenthood and NARAL and John Edwards and the NAACP and rap music and corporate multinationals and anti-Union Walmart and media consolidations and budget busting and pre-emptive wars and the rest of it. In short, they betrayed me, my family, my community, my status as a valued American worker, they betrayed the Rule of Law, they betrayed commitments to National Healthcare and universal public education; The Democratic Party is the one, withered, remnant reason why this atrocious Republican Party in America is enabled to seize power time and again with their insanities, inanities, small minds and bigoted, Know Nothing war mongering foolishness.

Neither American political party is worth the support of any American. We need to start afresh with two, completely changed or replaced political parties. That is my view; vote and send money and participate as you will with the Democratic and Republican parties, as you wish. But these two parties are the bane of America's future, mark my words.
