No way Lexicon...
by malteselover
Okay, the problem here is that the book Lexicon intends to publish is not a discussion book, but an encylopedia, in which information is going to be copied verbatim from the books. When JKR's lawyers asked if they could recieve a preview copy of the book (before the law suit started) the lawyers of Steve Vanderark said something on the lines of "Just print a copy of the site." And the site is in fact quotes and facts from the book, not discussion. Rowling has never banned books that discuss her's (Mugglenet's What will Happen in Book Seven? was allowed with no objections). Rowling isn't being a Voldemort, but simply protecting the rights to a book that is rightfully her's. Rowling intends to publish her own encyclopedia, with the proceeds going to charity. If the Lexicon is allowed to publish the book, it would take from the charity, which deserves the money a whole lot more than the site.
