Well, that's an interesting point. As a white person, I do actually give that idea credence. You're right that race is a culturally, rather than biologically, imposed category.

However, cultural definitions can be more powerful than biological definitions. If it were possible for a black person in America to ignore the cultural definition, or rather that the cultural definition would ignore them, then that would certainly be ideal. The "black values system" and other such constructions do accept and attempt to deal with the cultural definitions, but I would say, do not necessarily accept the premise of natural or biological separation. Thus, I disagree with your contention that they are racist.

I am sympathetic to the idea of not playing the game, but the game would have to stop all-together for that.
