Immorality and crime are tied to many things, including family upbringing, socialization, economic condition, political status, and more.

Jesus (upon whom be peace and God's blessings) would likely reject the way America functions, period. And American Capital Punishment is a result of American society, NOT God's revelations or Jesus or Moses' teachings, eventhough many may claim the origin of capital punishment emerges from Mosaic Law.

Yet the Mosaic Law which Jesus followed and added to was a COMPLETE SYSTEM, not a few laws here and there. The entire system had to be practiced, economics as well as politics, in order for the penal codes to be applied.
